The Afternoon Session continues with more advanced patterns

| Bead Boot Camp
Bead Boot Camp is perfect for the beginning beadmaker who would like to work on their skill set. If you have
taken Beadmaking one and are ready to make better beads these workshops are for you. In these workshops
will build you confidence and hone you skills. Each Boot Camp will cover a specific type of bead or decorating
technique. These are short 4 hour classes held in the morning perfect for the hot summer. You will see demos
and each student will have time to practice and receive one on one help.
Bead Boot Camp * Time to make the Donuts - Donuts and Disk beads
This is the boot camp for the beadmaker who would like to review and practice the essential “first bead” the
donut. Students will review winding glass, the perfect footprint for well-made beads and heat control. Each
student will have time to practice and receive one on one help with making donut beads. Donuts are perfect for
all sets of beads.
Bead Boot Camp * Round Beads & Olives
This boot camp is for the beadmaker who wants to make round/spherical beads. In this workshop students will
learn how to win the battle against gravity and keep their beads truly spherical. Each student will have time to
practice and receive one on one help with making round beads.
* Olive Shapes
The olive shaped bead is a beautiful addition to your bead repertoire. Learn to kept that perfect dimpled bead
hole in your olive shaped beads. Each student will have time to practice and receive one on one help with
making olive beads.
Bead Boot Camp * Cylinder Beads - Long Beads
This boot camp is for the beadmaker who wants to make long cylinder beads. In this workshop students will
learn the key to keeping the cylinder bead perfectly centered and with great ends. Each student will have time to
practice and receive one on one help with making cylinder beads.
Bead Boot Camp * Encasing Please only students who have taken Bead Two class
Want take you beads to the next level? Encasing you beads in transparent glass will give them that extra pop.
Encasing your bead in a colored transparent glass will enhance the color. Encasing your decorated beads in
clear glass will magnify the detail. In this workshop students will learn thin linear encasing, dot and blob
encasing. Each student will have time to practice and receive one on one help with encasing their beads.
Bead Boot Camp * Hollow beads Please only students who have taken Bead Two class
Are you ready to make really big beads? Do you want them to weigh less? Then Hollow beads are the answer.
In this workshop students will learn to build hollow beads on the mandrel. Each student will have time to
practice and receive one on one help making hollow beads.
Bead Boot Camp * Dots & Stringers
Dot's are fun. Everyone loves the bumpy bead but there is so much more you can do with dots. In this boot
camp students will learn how to place dots on their beads that have staying power. We will also explore
patterns that are created when you melt dots in. Each student will have time to practice placing dots and
receive one on one help with dot beads.
This is the boot camp for the beadmaker who is ready to work with stringer. In this workshop not only will
you learn to pull and create different kinds of stringer you will learn how to put it on and keep it on your
beads. Students will learn raised stringer application and how to melt it in successfully. Each student will have
time to practice and receive one on one help with stringer.
| PAIRS - matching beads
Simple wire work mark a pair of earrings
This class is for the beadmaker with a little experience or a lot who is interested
in making matching beads & using them for earrings. This is a quick
introduction to simple wire work.
Students will make small matched pairs in the morning*
Then we will used them to make earrings using simple wire work techniques.
Ideally you will be using the beads* you made in class
Wire and findings for 3 pair is included in the class fee.
You can purchase or bring extra beads or findings
* please note beads will not be annealed which is not an issue with small beads
for personal use.
Additional annealed beads will be available for purchase.
|Chain without Solder
This is a wire working Half day class will focus on several different links that can be
put together to make a chain. We will be using copper and brass and vintaj wire
along with pre-made chain to create your own unique chain.
Perfect for Beginners and fun for experienced.
*Students can add their own beads or purchase beads or fun components to
incorporate into their chains.
